Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. Rental Agreement
By booking a bouncy castle from Captain Hop ("we," "us," "Captain Hop"), the customer ("you," "renter") agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full. Rentals are self-collection and self-return — you are responsible for transporting, setting up, operating, dismantling, and returning the equipment.
2. Deposit
- A refundable deposit of $100 is payable together with your rental fee at the time of collection.
- The deposit will be returned in full upon safe and timely return of the castle in the same condition it was collected in, subject to Section 4 below.
- Rental fees are separate from the deposit and are non-refundable once the equipment has been collected, except at our discretion.
3. Assumption of Risk & Liability
- Use of the bouncy castle carries an inherent risk of injury. By renting our equipment, you acknowledge and accept this risk on behalf of yourself and any users of the castle under your supervision.
- Captain Hop is not liable or responsible for any injury, accident, loss, or damage arising from the use, setup, operation, or dismantling of the rented equipment, however caused, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
- The renter is solely responsible for ensuring the castle is used properly and safely, including adequate adult supervision at all times during use.
- Children and users must follow standard bouncy castle safety practices, including but not limited to: no shoes, no sharp objects, no food or drinks on the castle, no somersaults, and age/size-appropriate use.
4. Damage & Deposit Forfeiture
- The renter is responsible for the equipment for the full duration of the rental period.
- Any damage to the castle, blower, ground sheet, or accompanying equipment beyond normal wear and tear will result in the deposit being forfeited, in part or in full, at our discretion, to cover repair or replacement costs.
- If damage costs exceed the deposit amount, the renter agrees to be liable for the additional cost.
- The equipment should be returned clean and dry; excessive cleaning required may also result in a deduction from the deposit.
5. Collection & Return
- The renter is responsible for arranging their own transport for collection and return of the equipment.
- Rentals must be returned by the agreed date and time. Late returns may be subject to additional charges and/or deposit deductions.
- Please inspect the equipment at the point of collection and flag any pre-existing damage immediately — otherwise it will be assumed to be in good condition.
6. Cancellations
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking. Refund or rescheduling of the rental fee is at our discretion depending on notice given.
